Opioid effects
Matrifen®’s unique and advanced matrix technology provides 72-hour pain relief equal to that of other matrix fentanyl patches, but with a lower drug load making it a more environmentally friendly medication.

Matrifen is a potent analgesic, approximately 50 to 100 times as potent as morphine. Matrifen contains fentanyl, which belongs to the group of opioids, and transdermal fentanyl has been shown to have fewer side effects compared to morphine tablets and other oral formulations of opiod analgesics.
