Opioid tolerance
The advanced matrix of Matrifen provides 72 hour pain relief equal to that of other matrix fentanyl patches however it is shown to have fewer side effects compared to morphine tablets and other oral formulations of opiod analgesics.

Matrifen has a lower drug load than other similar products, making it a more environmentally friendly medication, still it is a potent analgesic, approximately 50 to 100 times as potent as morphine.
